Dorra 2B, Dorra Accommodation Platform (DAP) Reconfiguration Design

Dorra 2B, Dorra Accommodation Platform (DAP) Reconfiguration Design

OTL performed a reconfiguration design of the DAP by 1) Optimizing the jacket structural members to ensure that the submerged lifting weight remained within the 4000 tons hook load capacity of an HLV; 2) increasing the diameter of main pile to 84” and designing skirt pile sleeve connection to accommodate 66” diameter skirt pile. The max design penetration of 59 m and 53 m for main pile and skirt pile respectively, within the pile penetration limit. The DAP is located at water depth of 37.4 m.

Dorra 2B, Central Gathering Platform (CGP) Reconfiguration Design

OTL performed a reconfiguration design of the CGP by 1) widening the slot width to 50 m (c/c); 2) optimizing the jacket structural members to ensure that the submerged lifting weight remained within the 4000 tons hook load capacity of an HLV; and 3) increasing the diameter of main piles to 90”, while designing skirt pile sleeve connection to accommodate 60”  diameter skirt pile. The max design penetration of 60 m for both main piles and skirt piles based on the pile drivability analysis result. The CGP is located at water depth of 36.7 m.

Condensate Separation and Compression Platform (CDCP) Reconfiguration Design

OTL performed a reconfiguration design of the CDCP; specific measures included: 1) removing four buttress piles while simultaneously increasing the diameter of the main piles and widening the slot width to 53 m (c/c) to accommodate the 49 m vessel width; 2) optimizing the jacket structure members to ensure that the submerged lifting weight remained within 3500 tons. The CDCP is located at water depth of 15.94 m.

Living Quarter Platform (LQ8S) Reconfiguration Design

Living Quarter Platform (LQ8S) Reconfiguration Design

OTL performed the re-configuration design to change LQ8S topside installation method and use float-over operation instead of the original two modulus lifting operation and reconfigured the jacket design to adopt a horizontal lifting operation and the jacket open space to accommodate the Holman Atlantic vessel. LQ8S platform is located at water depth of 64.9 m.

MRJN GOSP-4 Production Platform Optimization Project

MRJN GOSP-4 Production Platform Optimization Project

OTL performed jacket optimized design based on iterated analysis results. The original preliminary dry weight of the jacket is around 7000 m.tons, and it is to be installed with a crane vessel  (DLS4200) with the lifting capacity of 3000 m.tons @ the radius of 44 m. The technical solution is to optimize the jacket configuration, reduce the jacket weight and increase the jacket buoyancy and design additional buoyancy boxes to meet the crane lifting capacity requirement.

TP-13 Platform Optimization Project

TP-13 Platform Optimization Project

OTL performed jacket and topside optimization design based on iterated analysis results. The jacket lift weight after optimization is reduced significantly and ensure its total lift weight being less than the required 1700 MT and save around 430 MT jacket steel weight. Also after optimization, the weight of the topside structure is reduced by around 600 MT.  The TP-13 platform is located at the water depth of 49.1 m.
