Development of a 17 WM Offshore Wind Turbine with TLP Foundation

OTL worked on a development of 17WM offshore wind turbine with TLP Foundation for CNOOC Research Institute Ltd. OTL’s scope of work included optimizing the TLP configurations, design of the TLP hull structure, structural strength, and fatigue analysis, covering wind and wave loadings. The analysis and design employ detailed FE method for stress and buckling, and time domain rain-flow counting method for fatigue damage calculation.
