Front Runner Drop Object Analysis

Client: Murphy Oil

SOW and Facts: OTL performed dropped object analysis for the Kikeh Spar platform, Thunderhawk Semi-Submersible Production Pplatform, and the Front Runner Spar platform by using ANSYS as the analysis tool and energy conservation method.

For the Front Runner Spar platform, 42 items with weight equal to or above 25,000 lbs were selected to be candidates for the analyses. Critical regions along the lifting paths ae selected to perform dropped objects analyses.
